It also means there are plenty of neigh sayers--those who will tell you all the reasons why new years resolutions fail (complete with statistics).
I'd rather be positive and encouraging. Yes, many people fail when trying to lose fat or gain muscle. But I've failed plenty of times in my life. Failure has, in fact, been my best teacher. Some of my most valuable fat loss lessons came through trial and error.
So it's really your call: you can sit around and do nothing or you can get off the couch and start the journey. Attempting to make changes may result in failure. But doing nothing is a 100% guaranteed failure.
I'll be honest: I like this time of year because my sales tend to go up. I am 100% transparent about the fact that I make money through this blog. But I also like this time of year because it gives people that extra motivation to seriously think about their health.
Let's take some of the guesswork out of the equation. Here are my recommendations for diet/training programs that I honestly believe will give you the best chance of being successful (just click the links for more detailed reviews).
I'd recommend 24/7 Fat Loss if your goal is to lower your body fat level in the fastest time possible. Dedicate yourself to this program and you'll see results. Go with Turbulence Training if you are super-busy and can only train three times a week and wanting to lose fat.
I'd recommend Muscle Gaining Secrets if you are a beginner or returning to the gym after an extended layoff (years of no training).
More intermediate/advanced trainees can look at different options because your goals may be a little more specific:
*Triple Threat Muscle is an awesome program for building functional strength and endurance. This is also a really good fat burning program.
*Mass Intentions (MI40) would be my recommendation for intermediate/advanced trainees who want to break plateaus in mass building.
*Last but not least, there's Minimalist Training. This is a compilation of simple but effective routines from Jason Ferruggia--everything from basic to advanced.
I'm confident any of these programs will work if you follow them carefully. Just click here to email me with any questions.
