In light of Randy Couture's win at UFC 109 I thought I'd post one of his circuit training routines (more comments under the video):
As you can see, circuit training is designed more for cardiovascular training and/or fat loss instead of muscular size and strength.
I tried this a few days ago and it really gets the heart pumping. Here are a couple of modifications I would suggest:
*Skip the upright rows (the exercise where he pulls the bar to his chin--1:31). It probably wouldn't matter too much since it is light weight, but I just think it is an awkward movement for the shoulders.
*You may also have to skip the behind the neck pressing part of the squat motion (2:48) if it bothers your shoulders.
