Leg Day--Bring the Pain!
I'm experiencing a wonderful sensation as I write this post--my legs are sore from Monday night's workout (squats and one-legged leg press).
Leg training is sort of an acquired taste. In order to enjoy it you have to become a little bit . . . well . . . sadistic. You must learn to embrace the pain and exhaustion that comes with an intense leg workout.
This may take some getting used to if you are new to training. Do a few sets of curls and your arms may get a bit shaky. But a few sets of hard squats and you may have a hard time walking out of the gym.
Keep training legs until you learn to love it. It's important for several reasons:
*Leg strength and power will be the foundation for most sports movements.
*If you are looking to lose weight, the leg muscles burn lots of calories.
*If you are looking to gain weight, big legs will ad some serious mass to your physique.
*Well-developed legs are important for balancing your physique.
Leg day--are you ready to bring the pain?

I love leg day! :)
Oh how I used to love doing squats, NOT. But the saying no pain no gain is surely true with weight lifting. Actually out of all the weight training I did the one thing I still should be doing are squats. I have "white mans disease" and lets just say I lost my butt a while back. :-)
