Before I answer, I would encourage you to consider losing weight slowly and steadily.
But the quickest way to lose weight is a protein sparing modified fast: calories are set very low, but the maximum amount of muscle is preserved (thus the "protein sparing") term.This kind of diet is outlined in Lyle McDonald's Rapid Fat Loss Handbook.
It is very effective, but it isn't for everyone.
