The internet is filled with products claiming to help you lose weight by cleaning out your colon. Do these products really help? No--I'm not aware of any real evidence to support such claims. Let's just use some common sense here: the large intestine is simply designed to expel undigested food from the body. The best way to keep things moving is eating plenty of fiber.
Colon cleansing products are usually just a combination of herbs and fiber. This (usually expensive) combination makes the user think he/she is getting rid of toxins, etc. It is, quite literally, money down the drain--expensive bowel movements.
"Colon cleansing" does not create a negative calorie balance, which is what you need for weight loss. Don't waste your money.
