I've become a fan of the Biggest Loser show (especially since I created this blog). I've been thinking about this question: why do we love the Biggest Loser Show? 1. People can relate
Two-thirds of American adults are either obese or overweight. About a third of these are obese, and the numbers just keep growing. A lot of folks out there are struggling with weight issues, so they can relate to the Biggest Loser contestants.
2. Inspiration
The human body can change pretty quickly--especially when it is subjected to the kind of intense training and diet they do on the Biggest Loser show. This is why I like the show--the transformations are truly amazing to watch. It's inspiring to see people lose so much weight so quickly. Most people can't put their lives on hold to go through this kind of "boot camp" experience, but it does at least give them hope.
3. Drama
Let's face it: real-life soap operas get ratings. This has always been a major appeal of any reality TV show. The Biggest Loser is a show about people dealing with both their own personal issues and the conflicts that develop in this kind of contest.
4. Jillian Michaels

Agree, agree, agree & agree. I got into the program this season because of Abby. I somehow have a similar post the other day on the show.
